Heat Pump Rebate Program
For climates with moderate heating and cooling needs, heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners. Because they move heat rather than generate it, heat pumps can provide up to 4 times the energy they consume. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to move heat from a cool space to a warm, one, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. During the heating season, heat pumps move heat from the cool outdoors into your warm house; during the cooling season, heat pumps move heat from your cool house into the warm outdoors.
Heat Pump Rebate Program for Site-Built & New Construction Homes
Your PUD is currently offering customers rebates ranging from $470 - $1,500 for the installation of new high efficiency heat pumps installed by PUD-approved participating contractors.
Site-built Residential Heating Measures
470 - $1,500 Heat Pump: Existing Homes – 8.5 HSPF, 14 SEER. Must be installed to PTCS specifications.
$470 - $915 Heat Pump: New Construction – 8.5 HSPF, 14 SEER. Must be installed to PTCS specifications. Home building permit must be dated 1/29/07 or later.
Please Note:
- Installations must be approved by the PUD prior to purchase and installation.
- Post-installation requests are not eligible for the rebate.
- Manufactured homes are not eligible for this rebate per Bonneville Power Administration program restrictions.
- Rebates may be modified or discontinued at any time.
